Join us Virtually with your interested students for information on our exciting programs held at our West-MEC Northwest Campus.
Both interested Counselors/career Center Specialists and ss part of the “Rookie” Counselor Grant, participants will invite interested student to participate in this Virtual PD about Auto Technology and Powersports Technician. Students and Counselors will learn about the development of technical skills to service, maintain and diagnose Powersport vehicles, such as Motorcycles, All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s), Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV’s), and Personal Watercraft. In Auto Technology: Engine Repair and Performance, Automatic Transmission and Manual Drive Train, Suspension, Steering and Brakes , Electrical and Electronic Systems and Air Conditioning. Industry advisory suggests students gain skill-sets in precision measurement, electrical systems with the potential for ASE certification in this area, service center management skills, and diagnostics of multiple systems. West-MEC curriculum will meet and exceed industry standards and incorporate skills such as troubleshooting, tuning, and hands-on vehicle work in the lab.
