Session Dates: August 1 - September 12, 2023
This asynchronous online class allows you to learn at your own pace. You can access lectures, readings, and other learning materials to complete assignments and other activities at any time during the six-week period. A significant benefit to asynchronous classes is, of course, the flexibility.
This course provides an overview of standards and material covered on the NES (formerly AEPA) Professional Knowledge Assessment (Secondary). Participants will engage in discussion and application activities regarding student development and learning, assessment, instruction, the learning environment, and the professional environment.
Participants are required to attend a Zoom Kick-Off Meeting on Tuesday, August 1, from 4-5 pm. Participants must complete one section per week. The class will close on September 12 at midnight.
Upon successful completion of the course, which includes submission of homework, participants will receive an ADE certificate for 15 professional development clock hours, which equates to one (1) semester hour of coursework.
