Laura Jaime

Laura Jaime is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, and oversees the teaching and learning for the West-MEC district. 

She earned a bachelor of science, with a dual major in biology and secondary education, from Eastern Illinois University. She spent eight years as a classroom teacher, before becoming a career counselor for a career and technical education district (CTED), where she realized how much she enjoyed community outreach, program management, and curriculum and instruction, This promted her to go back to school for a master of education administration from the University of Phoenix, and then to Grand Canyon University, where she earned her doctoral degree in organizational leadership, with an emphasis in K–12 leadership.
